Video Update - January 15th 2009
G'day bloggers,Welcome to our latest video update! Answering an email by Greg who said he visits frequently and enjoys the site (many thanks Greg!) but wonders why the clips are mp4 format.
Greg, they're done in this format as I not only wanted ipod video owners to be able to download and play these clips on the move, but for cross-compatibility between Windows and Mac as well as any other systems able to play mp4 files. It would be quite limiting if I encoded the clips in only a form that Windows could decode.

7 Sydney nightly closedown sequence
Dur: 5'22'', 29 MB
**Starts with 7's "Watch us now" ident, cuts to shots of Sydney with "My city of Sydney" playing, then to the old clip of a kangaroo putting joey to bed, drawing a "good night" curtain, then the national anthem before the obligatory fade to black. From there, a test pattern, then a slight "shhhhp!" as 7 turn their tx off for the evening. Unfortunately the year of this one escapes me so if anyone can help me remember, drop us a line so the title of this and the info in the archive can be updated. Thanks!
